The Great and Powerful Rooster and His Forces of Chicken have had an incredibly productive week. Every morning has uncovered something new the most Undesirable Neighbours has told us. Though these new harassments are simply rehashes and repeats of old behaviours. He and His Hen have also upped the bad mouthing of Neighbour Undesirable. Funny how if the truth is told about Rooster no one believes it. Yet if Rooster tells a baseless lie… it is immediately accepted as fact without question.

I think I feel worse about the harassment than Undesirable Neighbours. So they tried to cheer me up with this unusual tale of the Great and Powerful Rooster’s behavior.

One warm Sunday morning last year some Undesirable Neighbours were out working in their garden when all of a sudden they hear, “Oh Rooster, Oh Rooster, Oh Rooster.”  

On the third ‘Oh Rooster’ Thinking that he’d caught Rooster and Rhode Island in a moment of flagrante delicto he decided to do the polite thing and to quietly leave. But as he was walking away he immediately hears Rooster ask, “Do you think he heard?” To which Rhode Island replied, “I don’t know.”

Which is a really strange thing to say. When you’re in the throes of passion that is. Why would you be looking out a window when you’re engaged in that special moment? And since a question was asked and answered that would mean both participants were looking out the window at the same time. Could a sex life be so horrible that the pair prefer to look out a window at an Undesirable Neighbour gardening rather than at each other? Because the ‘Oh Rooster’ did sound quite mechanical in its repetitious utterance. Kind of like something you might hear and see in badly scripted underground Tahitian porn I have been told. Maybe if there had been no neighbour to look at they would have just looked at their watches on their wrist instead. ‘Is that twelve seconds?’ ‘Yeah’ ‘Great. I guess we’re done.’ ‘Same time next month?’ ‘Sure.’ ‘See ya’ ‘Bye’ ‘Bye’

But now, in retrospect, perhaps it wasn’t a live sex show.

Knowing that Rooster does order His hen to expose her private self publicly… maybe it was just Rooster manipulating Rhode Island into another submissive act. One of a number of indecent acts to which she is an eager and willing participant.
